WDF calls for a just solution to the occupation of Palestine, ensuring the Palestinians’ unconditional right to self-determination and a sovereign nation.
We at the Women Democratic Front express deep concern over the escalation of war by Israel on Palestine and violence, resulting from the escalation of Israel’s colonial and expansionist policies leading to mass violations of Palestinian rights. Our position is based on our guiding principles of social justice, equality, the right to self-determination, decolonization, peace and sovereignty.
We call upon nations of the world to support a comprehensive futuristic and just solution that upholds and respects the Palestinians’ unconditional right to self-determination, allowing them to establish their own independent and sovereign nation. We, the members of Women Democratic Front, strongly condemn the decades-long oppression and brutalisation by the Israeli Zionist forces against the Palestinian people and send our unwavering support and solidarity with the Palestinian people fighting against the occupation. We share their anger and rage at the colonial expansionist policies of Israel and the imperialism of the first world.
Our solidarity with the Palestinian cause has deep roots in third world internationalism and anti imperialism, the Palestinian liberation is an anti colonial struggle and we recognise it as such. We recognise the Palestinian liberation struggle being at the heart of third world anti imperialism and extend our deepest solidarity to the people fighting against Israel’s colonial expansionism.
We recognise that the Zionist forces of Israel cannot continue their violence without the support of other imperialist and oppressive forces especially USA and KSA. WDF also calls for the effective role of the UN Security Council and other regional political organizations in ending Israel’s expansionist policies and impunity, the USA’s imperialist support to Israel, and restoring peace in the region.
